A Stitch in Time
A dark comedy drama. When Martin, a successful executive, comes out to his mother, Joan, she has a stroke. As she loses her physical ability and mental capabilities Martin keeps trying to the “right thing” to make up for his mistake. But instead he loses his job, his money, and his cute boyfriend. Only when he stops trying to please everyone else and starts thinking about himself does he learn what he needs to do for his family.
Throughout this ensemble piece, the hosts of a cheesy local TV show, who were once Joan’s daytime friends, become more and more intrusive, eventually coming to live and controlling the family’s life in a surreal, comic and tragic way.
